Question: How can I designate my donation to go for a particular project or cause? top

If sending a check via postal delivery you can indicate on an accompanying note, or in the MEMO section of the check. If donating online you can make your designation using the COMMENTS OR DESIGNATION area on the paypal confirmation page, which is located on the second page after submitting your payment information. If for any reason you forget to do either of these, you can always send an email to Life Spring to follow up a donation and explain what it should be used for. Contact information can be found on the contact page. If no designation is made Life Spring will use the funds for whatever needs are a current priority.

Question: Why is Life Spring Ministry located in the USA if the work is being done in Africa? top
|
In order to raise funds from American supporters it helps to have an IRS approved 501(c) corporation. This not only lends credibility to the organization but it also benefits the donors because they can be given receipts for tax deductible purposes. Rev. Cathy & Paul Addis decided to incorporate the minitsry in the US to help Bishop Alex and Life Spring Ministry in the work they're doing in Africa.

Question: What is the role(s) of Cathy & Paul Addis in the ministry? top

Cathy & Paul were contacted by Bishop Alex in December, 2002 in a request for Cathy to come to Kenya and teach leadership seminars. Each year since that time we have traveled to Africa and strengthened our relationship with Bishop Alex, his family, and the leaders of Life Spring Ministry. It became apparent over time that it would be beneficial to have a presence in the USA to help funnel support to help their efforts. Cathy and Paul remain a source of counsel and freindship for Bishop Alex. Also, Cathy & Paul serve as the face of the US corporation while performing duties including resource gathering, fundraising, traininig short term mission teams, and distributing updates regarding the work in Africa.
